Iron OUT® Spray is specifically formulated to cling as it dissolves the toughest rust stains on contact. The unique formula is highly effective yet safer than traditional liquid rust stain removers. This convenient and versatile liquid spray is ideal and safe for use on vertical and hard to reach surfaces, like showers, tubs, sinks, toilets above the water line, colorfast carpet, tile and many other surfaces.

+ How long can I allow Iron OUT Rust Stain Remover Spray Gel to set on a surface?

Iron OUT Spray should be left on a surface for preferably less than 30 seconds. If the stain is not removed in this timeframe, Iron OUT Spray should be thoroughly rinsed and reapplied for stubborn stains. As with all cleaners, never leave Iron OUT on any surface longer than necessary to do the job.

+ Can I use Iron OUT Spray Gel to remove more than just rust and iron?

Iron OUT Spray Gel is formulated to primarily remove rust and iron stains. However, it is effective against lime and calcium buildup as well.

+ Where can I buy Iron OUT Rust Stain Remover Spray Gel?

The Summit Brands product line is available for purchase through national retailers, both in stores and online; some products may also be available for purchase through our website. Use the “Where to Buy” button to locate online and local retailers who carry this product or begin your purchase through the site.

+ How is Iron OUT Rust Stain Remover Spray Gel used on a toilet bowl or exterior surface?

Iron OUT Spray is ideal for removing rust stains above the water line in the toilet bowl. Spray Iron OUT directly to the stain. If necessary, the area can be scrubbed lightly with a sponge, brush or cloth, then rinsed promptly and thoroughly. Iron OUT Rust Stain Remover Powder is recommended to remove rust stains below the water line.

+ Is Iron OUT Spray safe for septic systems?

Iron OUT Rust Stain Remover Spray Gel is safe for septic systems, as are all our products, when used as directed.

+ Can Iron OUT Spray be used on clothing?

Iron OUT Spray can be used on white clothing by wetting the stained area with water and then spraying Iron OUT directly on the stain. Allow Iron OUT to saturate until the stain is gone, rinse with cold water and wash as usual. Any colored fabric should be pretested first to determine safety of using, as Iron OUT may permanently damage colored fabrics.

+ How do I open the Iron OUT Spray nozzle?

To open the nozzle, push down on the white tab found on the top portion of the nozzle, unlocking the red nozzle; at the same time, turn the red nozzle from OFF to desired SPRAY or STREAM. Pull back the red trigger, which releases the chemical. When finished spraying, we recommend returning the nozzle to the OFF position when storing.

+ Why won't my Iron OUT Spray bottle spray?

If Iron OUT is not spraying, please ensure the following:

  • The spray nozzle is turned from OFF position to either SPRAY or STREAM.
  • The spray trigger is pulled back to release Iron OUT.
  • Be sure Iron OUT has been stored properly in the original container and in moderate temperature, ensuring product will not freeze. If product freezes, it may fall out of solution, thicken and clog the spraying mechanism.

+ Can Iron OUT Spray be used in a water softener?

Iron OUT Spray is not intended for cleaning mineral beds within water softeners. Iron OUT Powder should be used for water softener cleaning and maintenance.
