SUMMARY: Manage and execute the conceptualization, development, and implementation of strategic marketing and product management activities within Summit Outdoors and Pro Products business units. Develop goals and objectives based on the overall mission.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The Brand Manager will be responsible for driving sales and profit growth of designated brands & product portfolios for Summit Outdoors and Pro Products. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Work with the V.P. of Marketing to develop objectives and strategies for assigned brands consistently delivering against our corporate financial, volume, and share goals.
- Manage and execute a comprehensive analysis of our brands’ performance, target consumers, channels, customers, and competition to develop strategic marketing plans.
- Direct marketing agencies to create and collaborate with sales to create and execute marketing campaigns across multiple channels for Direct to Consumer and Distributor/Dealer go-to-market models.
- Manages product portfolio lifecycle from new product enhancements to maximizing profitability and recommending end-of-life SKU rationalization and exit strategies.
- Establish business case recommendations for marketing and product enhancements leveraging consumer, customer, and marketplace insights. Partner with Project Management to ensure execution on schedule and within budget.
- Responsible for developing & administration of budgets, schedules, and performance standards.
- Monitor and analyze marketing campaigns, providing regular reports to identify trends and opportunities to increase market share.
- Develop sales materials for customer presentations and ongoing education to customers and consumers.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, influencers, and media outlets to enhance brand visibility and strengthen marketing capabilities.
- Interprets, executes, and recommends modifications to key operating policies and procedures.
- Assist VP of Marketing as required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Science, Business, or a related field required, MBA a plus.
Experience in DTC marketing required with 5-7 years in Brand or Product Management, or a combination of education & experience.
Passion for the hunting/outdoor lifestyle and/or water treatment and irrigation products a plus.
SKILL & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient with the following: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and ERP/MRP systems.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No direct reports but will manage outside agencies and partners and lead cross-functional internal teams. Will also collaborate with other Product and Brand Managers.
