Job Posting: Inside Sales Manager (On-Site)

SUMMARY: The Inside Sales Manager will drive D2C sales growth and maximize revenue and margins. This position will be responsible for driving the execution of strategy for Direct-to-Consumer sales, accelerating consumer engagement through all touchpoints of the sales journey to achieve key KPIs and promote brand value, loyalty, and retention. Ensures “over the top” customer service experience across the enterprise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Meet/exceed channel revenue and gross margin goals through the development and execution of a comprehensive sales and customer service strategy.
    • Strategies Include:
      • Expand Sales Engineer sales to 2X 2021 sales and double each year reaching GM% targets
      • Expand program to include other enterprise companies to ensure year-round sales opportunities by end of 2022
      • Manage lead generation activities to ensure full pipeline with assist from marketing team and outside agencies
    • Ensure standards and protocols of customer service are followed across the enterprise, creating unified and cohesive customer centric culture.
    • Follow all sales guidelines, processes, and procedures to ensure accurate processing and evaluation of sales opportunities.
    • Manage, train, and develop Sales Engineers and Sales Assistants.
      • Strategies Include:
        • Expand department to include 2-3 additional sales engineers by the end of 2023
      • Review monthly sales results, reporting to management on D2C sales performance, making recommendations when changes are necessary to drive improved results.
      • Supply Operations with accurate and timely unit forecasts to allow for adequate inventory to support sales initiatives.
      • Manage assigned budgets effectively.
      • Identify new opportunities and process enhancements to help drive more traffic and order and efficiency.
        • Strategies Include:
          • Documenting processes and training team
          • Support launch of new CRM to ensure it’s set up to follow desired sales process
        • Identify, research, and resolve customer inquiries and issues; provide customers with necessary product information; fulfill customer needs as appropriate.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of successful experience managing Direct to Consumer sales teams and customer service teams.
  • Advanced level proficiency with CRM, ERP, Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word is required.

Additional Skills:

  • Successful D2C and Customer Service management experience
  • Possess a solid knowledge of Direct to Consumer best practices with the ability to communicate these effectively.
  • Knowledge of and familiarization with the latest web trends, techniques and D2C technologies
  • Possess a solid knowledge of customer service best practices and techniques
  • Strong financial acumen to evaluate product line P&L performance
