Job Posting: Associate Brand Manager – Summit Outdoors

SUMMARY: For focus brands, assist the V.P. of Marketing in developing long and short-term strategies, marketing plans, packaging, advertising, and marketing programs that will achieve corporate profit, volume and share objectives.  Lead and drive the execution of strategic plans and tactics to maximize marketing impact for focus brands.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Associate Brand Manager will be responsible for driving sales and profit growth of designated focus brands. Other duties may be assigned. Specific duties will include:

  • Work with the V.P. of Marketing to develop strategies and plans to execute objectives for focus brands consistent with the corporate and business unit strategic goals.
  • Assist in the development of long-range marketing plans and execute short-range objectives to meet volume and expenditure objectives for focus business unit and brands.
  • Recommend and initiate line extensions and support objectives for introduction of new products into the marketplace.
  • Collaboratively drive projects to successful completion working with cross-functional teams (project management, sales, operations, regulatory, finance).
  • Manage the development of new package design, label design, sales collateral material and marketing support materials.
  • Direct and monitor execution for outside agencies and other suppliers in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and promotions to insure maximum value.
  • Analyze and interpret shipment and market research data to identify trends and opportunities to increase market share.
  • Receive and respond to all sales requests concerning marketing, promotions, research, etc. and provide accurate information to appropriate departments.
  • Plan and coordinate all sales materials, including copy and visuals for sales meetings, marketing presentations and trade shows.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or science.
  • 5 years or more applicable experience in marketing.
  • Proven creative and strategic thinking skills and execution of programs.
  • Experience in classical marketing techniques, promotion development, and brand-building initiatives a plus.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in B2B and water treatment, and/or irrigation and/or hardware is a plus.
  • Experience in D2C sales and marketing a plus.
  • Experience with big box hunting, national retailers, and hunting dealers is a plus.
  • A deep knowledge of, and passion for, hunting is a plus.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Proficient with the following:

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Acumatica, Salesforce or equivalent customer relationship and campaign management
